Our latest vacation was to Durango Colorado. It was awesome!

We filled this vacation with nice adventures...
First day was complete rest after sleeping 2 hours Thursday night, working all day Friday, leaving at 7:30pm Friday and driving 1015 miles straight through...we arrived in Durando Saturday after driving about 17 hours straight.

After our day of rest, we took a nice drive to Ouray. The mountains were great and photographed a couple of Wild Mountain Goats (pictures coming soon). The following day we went up on Molas Pass "12000 ft elevation" and took a snowmobile tour. 4+ hours of screaming through the mountains up to 80mph on a 550 Skidoo. Absolutely awesome! Climbing grades to steep it felt as though the sled would go over backwards.

The next couple of days we took sleigh rides to old cabins in the forest and were served steak dinners. I went panning for gold and actually found quite a bit, although my fingers were turning blue in the freezing water of the Florida River. (going back in the summar).

We finished the vacation by skiing 3 straight days at Purgatory. Absolutely Great! This was our first vacation without kids along and we LOVED spending the time together.
